The basics

  • What is Wantworthy?

    Wantworthy is a free, simple tool that lets you save products from any site into one central list. As you shop on your favorite sites and find a product you like, just click the +WANT button and the item will be saved to your list. Come back to see everything you’ve saved all in one spot and buy your favorites.
  • What is the +WANT button?

    The +WANT button lets you save products from any store on the web. You simply drag the +WANT button into your bookmarks toolbar (get the button here). Then, when you come across a product you want on any site, you just click the +WANT button and Wantworthy will find the image, name, brand, type and price. With one click, all of the item’s information is saved to your list including the original link so you can go back to buy the item later.

  • How do I buy an item that is saved on my list?

    When you mouse over an item on your list you’ll see a “Buy” button appear in the bottom right corner. Just click “Buy” and you’ll be taken to the original store to purchase that item.
  • How can I mark an item as purchased?

    When you mouse over an item on your list you’ll see a checkmark button appear in the bottom right corner. Just click the check and that item will be removed from your Wantworthy list and placed in your purchased section. Find your purchased items at any time by going into the “Me” dropdown on the upper right corner of your list and clicking “Purchased”.
  • Can I use my list as a registry?

    We don’t currently allow your friends and family to claim an item for purchase (so you don’t get multiples of the same item!), however our users love creating groups with their birthday or holiday wish lists in order to share with friends and family and make sure they know exactly what to get.

Adding and editing items

  • How do I add an item?

    You can add products from any site on the web (Forever21, Amazon, Nordstrom, you name it) using the +WANT button. When you’re shopping on your favorite sites, just click the +WANT button in your bookmarks toolbar and a popup will appear on the page with the product’s image, brand, name, price and type. Just click “Save” and the item will be saved to your Wantworthy list and you can continue shopping!
  • What if the +WANT button pulls in the wrong image or information?

    We’re really sorry the button didn’t catch the correct item details! Don’t worry though, a link to that item is always saved in your Wantworthy list. Just click on “Buy” when mousing over an item in your list and you can view all of the product’s information on the original site. We’re notified whenever the Wantworthy button doesn’t work on a particular site and will get to work on fixing it right away.
  • Can I add the +WANT button to another computer or browser?

    You can add the +WANT button to as many browsers and computers as you want. Just head over to the +WANT button page and drag the button to your bookmarks bar.
  • How do I save an item on my iPad or phone?

    The easiest way to save items from your phone or iPad is to add the +WANT button to your browser on your computer and then to sync bookmarks between your computer and your device. The +WANT button will then be added to your phone or iPad for you. For instructions on how to sync your bookmarks with an iPhone or iPad click here.

    Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to add the +WANT button directly from your phone or iPad yet. We’re working on building apps for iPhone, Android and iPad to make it easy for you to save items from anywhere and we’ll of course let you know as soon as they’re ready.

    Even though it’s a bit complicated, it is possible to add the +WANT button to your phone or iPad, so drop our support team a line (support@wantworthy.com) and we’ll be happy to help walk you through it.

  • How do I delete an item from my list?

    When you mouse over an item on your list you’ll see an “X” appear in the top right corner. Just click the “X” on any item to delete it from your list.
  • How do I create a group?

    A group is a selection of products that you want to keep and view together. Some examples of groups that our users create are “Birthday wish list”, “Prom dresses”, “New kitchen”, or “Stuff to buy when I’m rich”. You can create a group from the “+WANT” button when you save an item or from within your list. If you want to create a new group when you save an item, just click on the “Select Group” dropdown in the “+WANT” button pop up and you’ll be able to input a new group name or select one you’ve already created. If you want to add an item to a group or create a new one while viewing your list, click on any item and open the “Add to group” dropdown where you’ll be able to select a group as well as input a new one.
  • How do I remove an item from a group?

    Click on the item on your list to expand it and see its details. Then click on the dropdown that lists the group name. Once the group dropdown is open you can remove the item from any group by clicking again on the group name (you will see the name removed from the top bar and the blue color disappear).
  • How do I edit an item’s name, brand or price?

    Right now you can only edit a product’s information when you save it, however we’re working on letting you edit it after you’ve saved it.
  • What does an item’s type mean and how do I change it?

    A type is a product category (for example “dresses” or “home”) that we automatically select when you save an item. When you come back to your list you can sort your items by type so it’s easy to see all of your shoes, accessories or denim together. You can change an item type when you save a product by opening the “Select Type” dropdown.

Account information

  • How do I change my email address?

    Open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of your list and select “Settings”. You can update your email address on the “Profile” tab.
  • How do I change my name?

    Open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of your list and select “Settings”. You can update your first and last name on the “Profile” tab.
  • How do I change my profile picture?

    Open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of your list and select “Settings”. You can upload a picture and edit or crop your thumbnail.
  • What is “My Link” and how do I edit it?

    Your Wantworthy list has a unique link (for example, wantworthy.com/melissawalker) that allows you to easily share your list with friends by simply copying and pasting it. You can change your link to anything you’d like. To change your link, open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of your list and select “Settings”. You can edit your link in the “Profile” tab.
  • How can I disconnect from Facebook?

    Open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of our list and select “Settings”. You can connect or disconnect your Facebook account on the “Profile” tab.
  • How can I stop receiving emails?

    Just send us an email at support@wantworthy.com with the subject line “unsubscribe” or reply to any of our emails with “unsubscribe” in the body. Our newsletters have unsubscribe links as well.
  • How do I delete my account?

    We’re sad to see you go (but happy to help you out). Please send us an email at support@wantworthy.com with the subject line “Delete my account”.

Friends and sharing

  • Is my list private and can my friends see what I want if I sign up with Facebook?

    Your friends will never see your Wantworthy list unless you share your link with them or add them as a friend on Wantworthy. No one can search for your profile within Wantworthy unless they are Facebook friends with you and they will not be able to see your items until you’ve accepted their friend request. And don’t worry, it’s easy to ignore a friend request and your friends will not be notified.
  • How do I share my list with a friend?

    You can share your list with a friend by copying and pasting it’s link anywhere. You can also send your list to a friend through a Facebook message by clicking on “Me” in the upper right corner of your list and selecting “Share My List”.

    If you want to swap lists with friends to see what they want and get their feedback anytime, you can add them as a friend on Wantworthy. Just click on the “Friends” dropdown (next to the “Me” dropdown) and click “Find Friends” to find and add friends.

  • How do I find my friends on Wantworthy?

    Just click on the “Friends” dropdown (next to the “Me” dropdown) and click “Find Friends”. You’ll be able to send a friend request to any of your Facebook friends.
  • How do I delete a friend?

    Open the “Friends” dropdown (next to the “Me” dropdown) where you’ll see a list of all of your current Wantworthy friends. Just mouse over any friend and you’ll see a blue “X” appear in the top right corner. Click it and that friend is removed and will no longer see your list when they visit Wantworthy.
  • How do I invite a friend to Wantworthy?

    Thanks for spreading the love! Just open the “Me” dropdown in the upper right corner of your list and select “Invite” to send a friend an invite through Facebook. You can also always send them a link to wantworthy.com (no invite codes needed!).
